When complete, the road will allow motorists to travel over a new wider two-lane thoroughfare designed with safety in mind. In addition, the road, which currently has an “S” shape curve, will be smoothed out and receive a new asphalt surface so larger transportation vehicles can utilize the route more effectively.
“This project is a great example of how a good partnership
between the city, county and the Utah Industrial Depot can pay off in a
successful project” said Tooele County Engineer, Ray Johnson. “
The $1.3 million project is scheduled to be complete in November 2003. The contractor on the project is Ward Engineering Group.
